Ryan Ott

Howdy!

I’m Ryan, a MSc student of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Amsterdam, currently in my last semester.

Throughout my studies, I’ve developed a strong passion in particular for Model Interpretability, finding ways to make complex models more understandable and transparent. I’m also interested in Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and the intersection of the two in Multimodal Learning. Currently I’m working on my master thesis, which is about integrating Explainable AI in Car-Drivetrain Quality Assurance models at BMW Group in Munich.

Next to my studies, I’m also on the board of the Inclusive AI initiative, under the umbrella of the ELLIS Unit Amsterdam. We aim to make AI research more inclusive and diverse, by organizing events, workshops, and providing resources for underrepresented groups in AI. I highly recommend checking out our website.
